Environmental graphics and Wayfinding

Role: Project Manager, Brand Manager, Designer

Challenge: To create a welcome experience for the new park town. Initially, by animating areas around construction activity. Then, as parts of the town opened up, clear wayfinding was created to direct visitors to key locations.

Solution: Collaborating with design agencies to animate the hoardings surrounding the first public spaces, Claremont Park and Exploratory Park. Partnering with the public realm team to create permanent signage within Claremont Park to educate visitors on the park rules and ecology.

I designed a bespoke freestanding totem that can be moved and whose artwork can be updated depending on the location and event.

Devised a strategy with the relevant partners, including the estate team, to create a clear messaging pathway from the visitor's arrival at Brent Cross Town. Including a legible London-style totem at the station entrance and permanent fingerposts. Delivered a 60m curved walkway at the gateway to the development, featuring key messages and statistics.

Conceived strategically placed portable signage to promote local vendors, destinations, and the Visitor Pavilion.

Outcome: Brent Cross Town is home to over 1,400 residents and has welcomed over 100,000 visitors to community and entertainment events, the public spaces and for commercial purposes.
